Health:The Man We Know As The Chinese "Elephant"

He is from Guangzhou,China.His name is Huang Chuncai,a 32 year old man,who is also know as the Chinese Elephant for his serious medical condition.The condition he is suffering from is called "Neurofibromatosis"-a genetically-inherited disease in which nerve tissue grows tumors (e.g. neurofibromas) that may be harmless or may cause serious damage by compressing nerves and other tissues.

His first operation was in July 2007 which went pretty successful and the doctors recovered part of the 33 lb (15 kg) tumor.He is being diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis when he was just 4 years old.As the treatment is very expensive,his family could not manage it,so this hospital in Guangzhaou is treating him free.The doctors have already said that this sort of removal procedures are a bit of risk but we all must have hope and confidence.

Chuncai said that he hope to be getting cured soon and when he does,he would like to go home and spend a happy spring festival with his family.The second operation also went well removing 10 lb (4.5 kg) of tissue and a third operation is planned for later sometimes.We all hope that his next operation also goes well and he gets well soon.
