Christina Aguilera legally divorced

Singer Christina Aguilera's marriage to music executive Jordan Bratman has legally ended.

The pop star got a divorce Friday after the required six-month waiting period from the date of filing divorce papers elapsed, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The former couple had finalised a settlement in February and agreed to share custody of their three-year-old son Max.

It is believed they divided their assets according to their prenuptial agreement.

Aguilera is now dating 25-year-old Matt Rutler, whom she met while working in her film "Burlesque".

"In light of the past year, there have been obvious setbacks. I've gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish," she said.

Actress Halle Berry has been voted the hottest mother in Hollywood in a new poll.

The Oscar winner, who has three-year-old daughter Nahla with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, topped the Hollywood's hottest mum poll with 24 percent votes, reports dailystar.co.uk.

The second place, with 20 percent votes, went to actress Angelina Jolie who raises six kids with partner Brad Pitt. She was followed by Britney Spears at the third spot with 15 percent votes.

Christina Aguilera splits from husband

According to reports by the US Weekly, singer Christina Aguilera has separated from her husband Jordan Bratman for ‘a few months’. They also have a son together – Max, who is 2 years old. They met for the first time 8 years ago. They dated for a while before deciding to tie the knot in 2005.

There were reports that the 29-year-old singer and the 33-year-old music executive Jordan Bratman have already been separated for a few months. The reason responsible for the separation is yet to be clearly known.

It does seem surprising that the couple decided to separate for a while, because some time ago, in an interview the singer had said that she was very happy in her marriage.

However neither Christina nor Jordan have firmly decided whether they want a divorce or not. According to sources, this is just a trial separation and they both want to see how things turn out eventually.

According to sources, “They were very much in love. But over the last six months, it ­became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.”

The singer also tried to rekindle the romance in their marriage with a proposed vacation but things didn’t turn out the way that she expected.

Christina Aguilera has no regrets about her raunchy music video for hit single 'Dirrty' - because it made her feel "empowered".

The singer, who stripped down to a pair of leather chaps for the promo, insists she enjoyed expressing her inner self in the controversial video - and reveled in the controversy that accompanied its release.

She tells 'Glamour' magazine: "I definitely stirred the pot a bit but I had fun.

"If it's under the mark of respectability then it's prudish, if it's over the mark, it's slutty. That's really unfair, so I'm happy I've been able to express myself and be on both sides. People have loved it, hated it, been undecided, and been empowered by it."

Now-pregnant Aguilera has not ruled out donning the chaps at a later date.

E! News is reporting that Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman are expecting their first child. There was no immediate comment from the couple or their publicist. It will be the first child for both of them.

Aguilera and music-marketing executive Bratman have been married since November 2005, when they exchanged vows in Napa Valley, California. They had their honeymoon in Dublin during her Back to Basics tour in support of her album of the same name.

Christina Aguilera will soon begin her tour of Asia and Australia, starting with a show in Hong Kong and ending on Aug. 3 in Auckland, New Zealand. In addition, she is the soon-to-be recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, along with George Harrison, Ricky Martin, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
