Crazy:Revenge killing in India takes off heads of 8 family members

Eight members of a man's poverty-ridden family were shot and beheaded before their bodies were thrown into a river in eastern India after he secretly married a wealthy girl, police said Wednesday.

Police in the eastern state of Bihar found the eight bodies floating in a river and have charged 15 people, mostly from the girl's family, with the murders.

The weekend killing took place after 21-year-old Ratan Mandal eloped with 18-year-old Kanchan Kumari and got married secretly, afraid their families would never approve due to an old social rivalry.

"The girl's family invited the boy's family for a meeting on the pretext of settling the dispute, but killed all eight and beheaded them," said Raghunath Prasad Singh, a senior police officer from Bhagalpur, where the incident took place.

Bhagalpur, one of India's most lawless regions, has been notorious for revenge and honor killings.

Men and women are still murdered across the villages of eastern and northern India for daring to marry outside their caste.

In May last year, a young couple was murdered by the girl's family in northern India for marrying within the same village, considered taboo in many communities.

Detective branch of police yesterday traced out the head of Asgar whose body in fourteen pieces was recovered from Lalbagh area in Dhaka city on Thursday.

Police suspect that alleged love affair of the deceased Asgar with Polly, wife of Zahirul Islam Zahir , who is now in police custody , led to his murder.

However,Nazimuddin Badsha, brother of victim Zahir, claimed that Asgar had a quarrel with Zahir on Wednesday morning in connection with his deceased's cable business.

The bare pieces of the body were recovered by the police from a two- square kilometre area of Lalbagh.

Zahirul Islam Zahir engineered the plot to kill Asgar for his alleged involvement in love affair with Polly.

Zahir reportedly confessed to the killing of Asgar in his ( Zahir) own house at Lalbagh which is approximately half kilometer away from that of Asgar.

Zahir and deceased Asgar were close friends, police said.

Zahir narrated the gruesome murder of Asgar when he was produced before a team of reporters at the DB headquarters at Minto Road in the capital yesterday.

Zahir told reporters that on the fateful night of Wednesday Asgar and he were watching TV in a room of his house. His wife Polly was away from the house on that night, he said. Around 10:00 pm Rubel and Mohsin, two persons of dubious credentials of the locality, came to the room.Soon after Zahir left the room.As soon as Zahir left the room, notorious Rubel and Mohsin caught Zahir and strangled him with urna.

When the two killers confirmed that Asgar is dead, they took his body to the bath room and cut it into 250 pieces throughout the whole night.Afterwards, the pieces were put into fourteen poly bags.Zahir returned to his house when

Rubel and Mohsin were cutting the body Asgar into pieces, according to the confessional statement of Zahir.

In the early morning of Thursday, Zahir, Rubel and Mohsin dumped the Pieces of the Asgar's body into several dustbins at different places of Lalbagh area.

Hearing about the recovery of a few pieces of a body Badsha had a look at the pieces and identified them to be his brother's. He later went to Sir Salimullah Medical College Morgue to see the other pieces and became sure that his brother was brutally killed.

Police recorded a murder case early yesterday.

Asgar's wife Eva, who is pregnant, fell sick on hearing the news of her husband's murder. Later she was admitted to a local clinic. Asgar and Eva have a five-year-old boy.

Deputy commissioner of DB Auladah Hossain told the New Nation that Zahir was known as criminal. His relations with his wife Polly since were strained since their marriage 11 years ago.

Five years ago, businessman Shamsul Haque and his son Russel's body were found dismembered in a similar way. Allegedly, a local BNP leader and criminal Kajol of Patuatuli in Old Dhaka murdered them.

Gun used in the Murder finally found

Finally the handgun which was used in killing Jennifer Hudson's mother,brother and the young nephew was found and is confirmed to be the murder weapon.

In all the three murders the gun was used.The Chicago Tribune cites sources who say the weapon was traced to a Michigan owner who had once reported it stolen.

Unfired bullets in the gun matched casings at the murder scene. It's a .45-caliber Sig-Sauer, semiautomatic pistol.

Jennifer Hudson Moving for Body Identification

Jennifer Hudson is on her way to the Medical Examiner's office to identify the body of the boy who was found dead in the back of the SUV this morning.

The FBI has said the body appears to be that of Julian King, Jennifer's 7-year-old nephew.

Jennifer Hudson is offering a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her 7-year-old nephew Julian King. He's been missing since the fatal shooting on Friday of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother.

In a statement Sunday evening from publicist Lisa Kasteler, Jennifer Hudson appealed to the public for its help, offering the reward and asking that any information be given to Chicago police.
"Jennifer and her family appreciate the enormous amount of love, support and prayers they have received while she and her family try to cope with this tragedy and continue the search for Julian," the statement said.


Chicago police ramped up search efforts for Julian around the Englewood neighborhood, where Hudson grew up, and transferred custody of a "person of interest" in the killings to state authorities.


"Detectives are working 24 hours on this case," said Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond. "There's a lot of forensic evidence. We have to work the evidence and try and solve this case. Most importantly, we want to find the child."

Jennifer Shows Up for Body Identification

It's always hard and painful for someone to identify your own mother and brother's dead bodies,but it's "standard operating procedure" for a family member to do this, but that doesn't mean it's easy.

Jennifer Hudson showed up to identify the bodies of her mother, Darnell, and brother Jason.

UPDATE: William Balfour is now under the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections. Cops told us the IDOC have taken Balfour for breaking the terms of his parole.

The nature of the violations are unclear, but it's told that although Balfour is in the custody of the IDOC, the "homicide investigation is still active and ongoing."

Search For Julian King Continues

Where is the 7 year old boy gone? Is he also dead or someone is hiding him somewhere? Will he be ever found by the authorities? The question remains.

The search for Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old nephew continues to intensify. It is being told the operating theory among Chicago detectives is an "ongoing domestic dispute" between the suspect, William Balfour, and his estranged wife, Julia Hudson.

Chicago cops would not be more specific, other than to say there is an "underlying domestic aspect" to the investigation ... that there was "trouble in the marriage."

The cops continues to interview people, but no one other than Balfour is in custody. As for Balfour, so far no charges have been filed.

Chicago cops are now using flyers with Julian King's pic to find the missing boy.

The boy hasn't been seen since the bodies of Hudson's mother and brother were found Friday in her home in the South side of Chicago. The two had been shot to death.

The police will be handing out the flyers today all over Chicago, particularly on the South side.

Jennifer Hudson seeks Aid

Jennifer Hudson has joined the campaign for her missing nephew, Julian King, through her MySpace blog.

It reads: "Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately.Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time."

Breaking News: I Want my son back--Julia Hudson Says

An emotional Julia Hudson just stood in front of the media and begged for the safe return of her 7-year-old son, Julian King.

Julia, standing next to Julian's father Greg King, told reporters how the Hudson family was holding up, described her last moments with her son and explained that Julian would respond the nicknames "Juicebox" and "Dr. King."

Julia also said she was the one who told Jennifer about the terrible string of events that took the life of their mother Darnell and brother Jason.

Suspect's Mother says, "He didn't Do It'.

Balfour's mother refuses to believe that his son had any part in the double murder and says in no means his son did this.

Cops don't seem to have her same sentiment, as William is the prime suspect for the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother, and is currently being held by Chicago police.

Michele went on to voice her concern for Hudson's missing nephew Julian King to CNN affilitate WLS: "Whoever has Jennifer Hudson's nephew or Julia Balfour's son, please, I'm begging you, me and my family are begging you to return that son."

Hudson Murders--The Twists & Myteries

The nephew of Jennifer Hudson is still missing. The suspect in the murders of her mother and brother is in custody. And there are several interesting twists and myteries.

William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, Julia, is in custody but isn't talking and responding much. In a cryptic statement, a Chicago PD spokeswoman said investigators are talking to "a number of people in custody." She didn't explain further.

Cops say at least one of the victims had defensive wounds, which led them to believe the shootings involved domestic violence.

Here's the most interesting thing -- neighbors in the area who know the family well say a few weeks ago a family member tried stealing a car, which triggered a heated argument in which the would-be thief promised revenge. No one was named specifically, but Balfour spent nearly 7 years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possession of a stolen vehicle.

On Julia's MySpace page, recently posted a picture of Jason (one of the victims) in a vehicle. The caption below reads, "Jason picking up my ass from work, cause William bitch ass sold my car."
