16th October 2010, Saturday - In conjunction with the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2010, Chef Mike Yip conducted a cooking class for all Japanese food lovers.
Itinerary for the day was a full lesson on maki rolls, and a Master Chef demonstration on how Wagyu Negi Taro Tataki (one of the dishes from Chef Mike's Festival Menu) is prepared.
All participants enjoyed a traditional Japanese lunch personally prepared by Chef Mike, and brought home a maki/sushi starter kit that included chef hats, handouts, personalised Fu-Rin aprons and all the ingredients needed for them to test their skills at home!
