Jennifer Hudson To Marry Soon

Jennifer Hudson is set to marry "really soon." The "Dreamgirls" star and her fiance, attorney David Otunga, could tie the knot as early as this month, according to friends.

A source said: "It's going to be real soon. Some people think Valentine's Day. They're head over heels in love.

"She has gone through the worst nightmare of her life and she's finally coming out of it. Everyone is thrilled Jennifer is finally able to move forward again."

Hudson and her fiance had planned on getting married sometime late last year but they postponed the wedding after Hudson's mother, brother and nephew were murdered.

Jennifer Hudson First Public Appearance

After the tragic shootings of her mother, brother and nephew, actress/singer Jennifer Hudson went into hiding and hasn't been seen since. She was supposed to return to work earlier this month, but decided it was too early.

Hudson will make her first public appearance since her family tragedy on February 6 to perform at the MusiCares person of the year gala.

She will join Tim McGraw, Josh Groban, Foo Fighters, and Coldplay on stage and sing a few Neil Diamond songs. The gala will be held two days before the Grammy Awards, which is set to air on Feb. 8 at L.A.'s Staples Center.

Earlier this month Hudson said: "It's been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing." She added, "I am extremely honored and humbled by the nominations."
