Mitsubishi to share ASX/RVR with PSA

Mitsubishi has reached an agreement to share the ASX/RVR with Peugeot-Citroën.

While details are limited, the Peugeot and Citroën models will be launched in early 2012 in Europe. They will feature unique styling and available in both front an all-wheel drive. The deal has benefits for both companies: PSA gets an already-developed vehicle for a growing market segment, while Mitsubishi benefits from economies of scale resulting from the 100,000 extra cars it expects to make for Citroen and Peugeot each year.

Power will be provided by PSA’s 1.6 HDi diesel engine with 110bhp and 177 lb-ft (240 Nm) of torque. With front-wheel drive, the engine is expected to return 60.1mpg/4.7l km combined while emitting 123g/km.

Mitsubishi's ASX in FWD with the firms all-new 1.8 DiD engine will account for majority of UK sales when it goes on sale 1st July. In the mean while, if you want to win an all-new ASX 1.6.

Mitsubishi ASX to Debut at Geneva - European

Mitsubishi will be debuting its new crossover, the ASX, at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The ASX is the European version of the Japanese market RVR. It is a 5-seat, compact crossover, about 4.3 meters long, and is slotted below the Outlander in the Mitsubishi lineup.
Mitsubishi hasn't released many details on the model. It will come with a 1.8 liter turbocharged, direct-injection petrol/gasoline engine coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission, but they don't specify power outputs. The concept upon which the ASX is based, the Concept-cX, featured a diesel, but there is no mention of an oil-burner for the European market in the very brief press release. That concept car was also an all-wheel drive but there's no news either on whether this crossover will have that feature too.
The RVR will go on sale in Japan next month. The ASX will be rolled out in European markets in the spring, following its introduction in Geneva. We will have to wait until then for more details.

Mitsubishi Eclipse

MSRP: $20,249 - $30,149
Overall, reviews gathered by TheCarConnection.com agree that the curvy style and powerful look of the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse Eclipse recall muscle cars of the past. Motor Trend remarks that the 2009 Eclipse's "spaceship styling has aged well," while Road & Track says that the stylized elements of the Eclipse "add flair in a market in which flair sells." Though the 2009 Eclipse sports the same body style created in 2004, Cars.com notes, "the look is what turns you on." Edmunds.com agrees, remarking that the Eclipse GT "does merit more serious consideration" when looking for a vehicle that will turn 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse heads.
This curvy fluidity lends a sexiness to the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse Eclipse that is lacking in some of the other front-wheel-drive 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse To Motor Trend, the front end looks like a "gaping maw" but is "offset by fluid curves." While most 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse versions of cars are manufactured from the hardtop version, Popular Mechanics notes that the "open-top version was engineered to be topless from inception." This lends to a more normal look when the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse rolls back the cloth top for quick cruise up the Pacific Coast Highway.
