Bayern will facing Man United without Arjen Robben

Bayern are sweating on the fitness of winger Arjen Robben. The former Chelsea player has been in good form for Bayern this season, but is suffering a muscle problem and is a doubt for Tuesday's game.

Despite his importance to the side, Van Gaal insists the Dutchman will not play unless he is fully fit. “We need a player like Robben against Manchester United but if he is not 100 per cent, he doesn’t play,” Van Gaal said.

Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal rejects suggestions that his side will be scared going into their Champions League tie against Manchester United. But you should be!

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Franz Beckenbauer, two former players of the club have already suggested the club will be worried about coming up against United, and Wayne Rooney in particular.

But Van Gaal has dismissed such suggestions, believing Bayern have enough quality to cause United concerns of their own.
