I would appreciate, if any of you can answer this question either through their personal experience or their knowledge.
I recently got my H1b visa renewed(& transferred) for 3 years based on a previous I-140 approved from my earlier job. I would like to get my H1b visa stamping done either at Mexico or Canada based on the current validity(for 3 years) of my H1b approval. If after stamping, I change companies will I need to get a new stamping to reflect the new company on my passport? If I don't need to get a new stamping, then if I travel to my home country and then return to US, will it cause a problem at the border post if my H1b approval paper shows a different company than that on the passport? Your advice in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
You don't need to restamp as long as your stamped visa on the passport is valid. I've done it myself and just carried the employment letter and tha fat H1 transfer package with me..No issues. While entering back into US, they just asked me about the H1 transfer approval letter and that package. Only think you need to make sure that when you are coming back, your H1 should be valid, no matter which company is it from.

Update for anyone who would find this useful -
I sent my app using USPS express mail (next day delivery) with online tracking/delivery confirmation. No issues with delivery to PO BOX.

Yes, that's my plan, to have MA and NH state members send emails to the congressman's office to try and get appointment. This will provide good opportunity to present the material from our resources section. thanks.

Buddy for what I know everybody (mis)used the number so much that the US CIS had to change the extension. Now we will have to wait for somebody to (re)figure the extensions for the Service Center.

went for infopass for correcting wife's DOB. Officer said it cannot be corrected here. After some protest, he took photocopies of birth certificate and passport and then sent e-mail to service center. Also, enquired about her EAD which is now pending for 110 days. Officer was not able to say why it is pending. just have to wait.
My wife went for her biometrics today and what a surprise, her date of birth on the system was wrong.
She only had DL on her and no passport. So, the ASC staff took her biometrics but refused to correct her DOB, claiming that passport was needed.
So, we called up USCIS and upon description of the problem,were immediately transferred to level 2. Level 2 looked at the cases and confirmed that DOB was wrong on I-485. It was correct in I-765 and I-131. She said that the only way to correct it was to take infopass and present passport and DL.
It is now more or less clear that DOB mismatch has caused her EAD to be stalled for so long.I have already got my EAD.
Moral of the story : take passport for FP, infopass, etc. all the time.

2) EE relationship

With all problems from vendor and client i was able to get letters but my lawyer sent the packet on July 9 and when I was tracking the status it says that UPS due to some unforeseen reason will now deliver this packet on 7/12 ..2 days after deadline, the packet has sent date 7/9 and was marked next day AIR
My question is

That sucks about the comp not being able to take it. I know what that is like all too well.

Even I have got same message yester day. But now it shows the package was delivered when i checked today morning.
I have one more question here. The I-765 and I-131 are two different post box numbers. we can send both applications to the same P.O.BOX or different. If we send two different P.O.BOX then both will reach to same P.O. BOX or different P.O.BOXs.

Its probably a good thing that LCA laws are being enforced. If a person hasn't gone on the bench and has a valid LCA, I don't think that person would be affected by this.

Hi, I wouldn't bank on what officer says as it is not binding. You need valid AP to enter US and there should be no confusion about it.
You should take Employment verification letter and latest stubs although it is not 'required'. I believe your July 20th paystub should be sufficient but if you have access to your latest electronic paystubs(ADP website) it is not a bad idea to print them out. Otherwise don 't bother.

5. My wife has an H1 also, so as she used her EAD(which came as my dependent) not with the company which hold's her H1, in this case what would be the status of her H1, can she quit her present job and do another job using her H1, is that H1 still valid.
I think she is ok to switch to H1 but you all need to go out of US & Enter with that H1B Visa for switching plus she has to work with H1B sponcer employer.
Any way share us output after consulting good attorney.

We need to work with everyone and fix the legal immigration mess.
Once that is fixed, there would be no reason for people to break the immigration law. That problem will automatically go away.
"What line?" is a good question to ask all the anti-immigration groups. I hate it when they have names like "Americans for Legal Immigration." They should publish a list of their accomplishments for legal immigrants :-)

Thanks. What happens when we apply for I485 using EB2 ?.
Do we need to withdraw the EB3 I485 ?. In that case my current EAD becomes invalid and cant we work for three months until we get the EAD using EB2 485 application ?.
