At this point I would tell him to just be safe and promise to use a condom.
You may not be happy with it but in the end he is going to go through with it anyway. Just telling him to be safe is the best you can do at this point.
If she was sleeping at your place I would to what my parents told us when I was living there. They said you can sleep together but please try not to have sex. Even though they both knew we were sexually active. We still did every once in a while but seldom and kept it very low key as to "not get caught".
Later when I was older I asked them about it and told them we did (this is years later and my parents are really cool). They told me the figured we would anyway. They just said it so that we wouldn't make it obvious. I believe their words contained the phrase "ignorance is bliss".

Going to sell my now-useless-to-me Quad G5 and possibly get a i7 970 6 core as they just dropped in price and possibly another GPU and sell off my 950 and 920.

None of these are Holiday related.

very active poster :confused: under 1 post a day and under 1500 posts, ;) not quite very active in my view.
i'm sure ed will be a great mod, many a time my keyboard has been splattered with food when i almost choked laughing at pancake bunnys and melon cats :D.
i would consider ~6-8 posts a day very active which is what i hit last summer for a while :o.
My average is rapidly approaching 6 per day. I've posted 50 times in one day twice so far - that's the most I've ever made in one day.
I agree with you regarding edesignuk - those pictures always make me chuckle.

Or they did a lot of stuff with it already, just not showing it yet. Since the current release of FCP does not use QTX, they don't need to release the updated API before the next gen FCP. I really doubt Apple just shelved the whole QTX after doing a rewrite for SL, they must have been iterating it since then.

If it was priced more in line with Avid Media Composer or Avid Adrenaline I'll bet dollars to doughnuts it wouldn't have become as popular. Apple's typical method of operation when it comes to the ProApps is buy existing software, rebrand it and drop the price dramatically. The most recent, and most radical example, is Apple Color. Apple took what was previously a $25,000 color grading application and tossed it into the Final Cut Suite at no extra charge.

While Premiere doesn't have any first part codecs along the same lines as ProRes it is more flexible and open to third party codecs than FCP is. 1) Google does not own the mapping database they use
2) Even if they did, there are multiple geographic/mapping data providers
3) None of them obtained their data by having employees drive around in vehicles... That's an absurd suggestion
