Basically, the VB just says that "Even though you waited for however number of years, gone through all the pains with employers, you are NO closer to getting GC than you were a month ago"
How pathetic is our situation? Every time I think of it as the bottom,there is a new low next month? It's just a never ending tale.

Multiple submissions will do more damage than good. That's my opinion anyways, I feel that it takes credibility away from our cause.

Most likely my company revoked H1. Until this email came I was confident I could travel without worries of 485 getting touched/denied when I was in India.(I am planning to reenter using AP).
I currently have found a similar job but havent filed AC21 papers yet. I am now hesitating to travel as something happens to my 485 when I am out of the country there is not much that can be done.
So with
a) H1 Revoked aug 28th
b) Address changed
c) AC21 not filed
I am thinking of not travelling. Am I overreacting here ?
You mentioned emergency in your post. If there is a medical issue regarding a near-dear family member or a really important event (may be immediate family members wedding) then you should go. These are more important things in life. Believe it or not when you look back that this in future you will regret the decision of not going if its truely an emergency.
Most likely nothing will happen. Just take the offer letter with you from the new company descibing that your new job duties are similar to old one and also take copy of AC21 law.

I remember the anticipation among IV members before the monthly bulletin came out. As many EB2 folks have got GC looks like the craze has died down. Very few replies to the visa bulletin thread.
I wish everyone gets their GC's sooner than later.
Not really, it was well known that there is no movement expected in OCT, NOV and DEC bulletin, July, Aug and Sept are action months.

Getting help thro' your congressman/woman (House rep. or senator) is the best way forward for you.
Each USCIS service center has a dedicated cell handling congressional inquiries on cases. Since your case is well beyond processing times and clearly out of bounds, they do escalate matters thro' the congressional cell at NSC/TSC.
Doing this should be your first order of business.

I belong to Rest of world my category is EB-3 my ETA filed on 02 Jan 2002 and approved on feb 2004 my I-140 approved on april 2004.now my priority date has reached now I would like to ask How long will it take to for further procedure at the embassy and to sheduled my interview get my visa i m not living in USA can u tel me about my issue. I am planning to book tickets for my parents travelling from India to US and returning back to India after 2 months. I have some questions:
1) Is it necessary to book tickets in India?
2) If not, Can I book tickets through orbitz or expedia in the US and send them the e-tickets?

you can book from expedia/orbitz. We recently booked on American Airlines for parents.

Thats a pretty tough spot to be in. You can try finding a H1B sponsor for yourself and transfer? How about looking for a H1B sponsor for your wife? I believe the H1B quota did not fill up this time.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I need to get Company B to recapture the PD of my earlier I140. This seems to be the best option. But I wonder if I go down this route, will it complicate and delay (significantly if I miss the window) the GC.
If you filed your I-485 in July, 2007 with the knowledge and consent of Company A, you are in order as GC is for future employment. It would appear you did so since they did not withdraw the I-140.
Having said, the only proper course of action is for you to go back to work for Company A after you obtain your GC.
If you would like to work for Company B after GC, you would have to file a change of employer right now (using AC21 provisions). Alternatively you may interfile the approved I-140 from employer B with your current application. You are entitled to keep the priority date on the I-140 of employer A so you should not be affected negatively.
If your lawyer is saying you could continue to work for employer B after GC without doing anything at this time, I would suggest you talk to another immigration attorney to hear a second opinion.

For Your First Question it is a big YES, USCIS/DOS is responsible. as per law, for the wasted visa re-capture, congress approval is not required, that decision is solely on USCIS, and USCIS can definitely make folks who are waiting on I-140 approval to file I-485 and be on EAD, that is solely under the jurdistriction of USCIS.
