What will happen if primary case got approved but dependent case is still pending and at the same time, dependent H4 will be expiring soon??

As long as her application is pending with USCIS, there is nothing to worry. My friend is in a similar situation. His GC was approved just 2 days before retrogression hit the previous time. So unfortunately, his wife's AOS application was not approved at the same time. She is still waiting for her GC to be approved.
Your wife does not need AP if her AOS has been filed and she does not intend to travel outside the country.

I have met my rep. He took the letter etc but nothing happens after that. Starting a new campaign to the USCIS director doesn't dilute the issue, rather it makes our case stronger, this way we are telling them we are really really troubled...
I think rather than a new campaign which asks members to send postal mail we should have one clear and nicely written letter where members can put their signatures or vote electronically (I guess something like this exists) ..this letter (with thousands of votes / signature) can then be sent to various organizations and important people (president, congress, realtors, lobbyists etc etc).
I guess the main point to say would be the long waiting times, inefficient USCIS etc due to which lot of immigrants are going back to their home countries (therby leading to more outsourcing), lot of immigrants are not making big financial purchases (buying homes etc) etc etc
footnote - The reason I bring housing is US always speeds up GC processing whenever they face a crisis - from what I have heard in 70's when they needed civil engineers and doctors - they would give them GC's very quickly ..whichever financial news you read - the bottom line is no one is buying houses - in legal immigrants case - why the heck would they if they dont know if they will be able to stay here permanently :-D

I have couple of doubts whether i will be able to qualify or not, which i want to clairify.
Ofcourse i will apply in Skilled workers category, i do not have any Canada experience, so according to the official website, i might not qualify because i am not a Manager.
I do not see any option for a software engineer, Am i missing anything ?

What will happen to highly retrogressed countries like Indian, China? When can they expect any tangible results?
Depends on how much the numbers increase, whether there is any kind of per-country quota, coz if there is, then India and China would get screwed because of heavy demand from these 2 countries. CIR will start from square 1 in the next congress and would go back to the judiciary committee, Floor, conference, -- the whole process would be happening all over again.
What will happen to the �Rest of the World� category? When do you think they can expect results?
Rest of the world will be better off than India and China. Unless you are really unlucky and the demand from your country's subscribers increases and there is a separete PD for your country too, like India, China and Phillipines.
What will happen if ALL or Most of the catagories become current. Are we going to get stuck with processing delays for months or years to come ?
YES. If the dates move really really forward, -- like 2005 and 2006, the sheer number of I-485s will bury the USCIS. Expect huge delays. Unless we act on DOS to fund certain agencies we are not going to see any improvement in 485 processing times. The worst part about 485 is that USCIS alone cannot revolutionize its process and solve problems. There is the FBI name check(Dept of Justice) and also DOS involved. Our work will not end when SKIL bill passes. We would have to lobby for administrative reform to fund these agencies. FBI's namecheck division is heavily used by a lot of government and private agencies after 9/11 and they are really underfunded. We, may have to work on our issues even after SKIL bill passes. Unless of course we are really content on spending 5-6 years on EAD/AP. From what I hear, life is not really that great even on EAD/AP

I used a friend�s nikon 50mm 1.8D in all photos, because i just have one len (18-70mm).

EB-2, 485 and 140 submitted in June 2007 concurrently, RD and PD both are June 2007. I borrowed my husband's Swiss nationality. Now 140 approved, AP and EAD got, but NC is still pending.
Just curious: When will USCIS process my 485? According to my nationality or my husband's? If it's mine, god, I may have to wait for 4, 5 years because of the terrible VB backlog! Is it after 485, everyone no matter which nationality, the processing time should be the same. All the world line up together. Please correct me if I am wrong.
The bad part of it in your case is that NC is still pending.

So nobody can tell you, when and why, even the USCIS itself. It could be 6-12 months, it could be 2-10 years. I had to take USCIS/FBI to court to help them resolve my NC after waiting about 3 years.

I reviewed the State of Washington's unemployment compensation website, and from what I can see you would be eligible for benefits as long as you were legally authorized to work for the last 24 months and continue to be authorized to accept new employment. You will be required to provide your A# and agree to allow the State of Washington to share your application information with other agencies such as the IRS (UC benefits are taxable).

With the revision of the bulletin being revoked, things kind of worked out ok. However why has'nt anyone looked into what exactly happened on July 2nd and who was responsible for what? All the questions that Zoe Lofgren asked were very legitimate. Why were they not answered? We had Condi Rice say that all visa's were exhausted; this was on TV. Was she lying or mis-informed by someone in her department? Who misinformed her? What was the motivation for revising the bulletin? Who ordered the mass-processing of pending applicatons that we have now seen? Why were all dates made current in the first place? Which agency did it and who did they not talk to?
If it were not for the flower-campaign induced media exposure, and the tough stance taken by Zoe Lofgren, USCIS/DOS could have gotten away doing whatever they wanted. What if the next time something like this happens Zoe is not working on the immigration subcommittee in the House? No one else stood up against this mangling of the law. If you steal a car and two weeks later go put it back where you took it from, it does not change the fact that you stole the car and must be held responsible for it. Where is the responsibility for what happened on July 2nd?
Anyone contacted the Ombudsman to see if he is doing a special report on this July 2nd fiasco?
