Draggable tabs is really good news. I like the way things are being gradually improved too. I think Leopard could be a pretty polished OS when we see it.

Hi.
After upgrading my computer and my software (from Tiger to Leopard) a strange thing happened: my Airport signal (which was the strongest before) is at the middle. But the strangest thing is that, when I open Network Preferences, my internet connection is showed as a PCI Ethernet slot 3, port 3 connection (although it shows an Airport icon); for Airport, it says it's connected but it has no IP address! I have a PCI Ethernet card, but it's not connected.
I also intalled a PCI USB 2.0 card, but I don't think it has anything to do with that.
Any ideas?

So this kid is a straight A student and is very bright. But he argues with his parents a lot and, like any other teenager, is disrespectful. Should any of these factors influence a parent's decision? On one hand, he has proven to be responsible, saving money and getting good grades. On the other hand, he's moody and often shuts himself off from the rest of the family.
Well no mater how you might feel about it, the thing is.. if a person really wants to do something, they will do it. If you don't allow it, he would probibly just do it behind your back. I think youd prefer him being straight forward.
Then you have the age thing, he is 18... and you can't exactly tell him no straight out; but since he (im assuming this part) still lives with you, you would be able to (from a legal point) say "if you do it, you aren't allowed to live here" - Would I take it that far? Nope. I think you should just trust your children; he's proven that hes an intelligent person. Just because hes disrespectful doesn't mean he would do anything stupid; I think all kids are disrepectful at some point anyway.

ok. its now running from a 320Gb sata drive!
I left carbon copy cloner running all night to make the bootable copy.
I was a little bit worried about leaving all night as I could not watch the temps. I guess I'm just a bit worried I may have screwed up the thermal paste. But no, it survived showing 52deg when I checked this morning.

it is more company like Samgsung have huge patent porfolios that they never really use unless they get sued and that is when they go looking threw it and saw Hmm "Apple is suing me what can I nail them on" Apple is currently starting to piss people off so they are going to start going threw their patents and hitting back.

If the company should not be allowed to do that for the sake of consumer protection, then there should be laws to prohibit such practice. If it turns out that their decision keeps customers from subscribing, then they might choose to reconsider.

Like, I'd put money on Mr Gates et al at Microsoft sitting there going

We will never know the strategy behind it, but I suspect in corporate circles there are some worried looks, and probably some massive over analysis sessions happening right about now...

So Samsung believed Apple was violating it's patents all this time but decided to do nothing about it. Now that they have been pushed they decide to act. Sounds to me they are trying to find whatever they can to bite back at Apple.

What is weird though is that I just ran geekbench and got a score of 764 with only 256mb ram compared with 732 when I had 512md ram :confused:
could it be that the dodgy dimm was registering its capacity but hindering the machine in the geekbench tests due to it being faulty?
