I am hearing lot of cases about H1 extension denial. My advise to people is that if you have option to work on EAD please do so. I think because of current economic condition extention is becoming difficult

I had been following this forum online since 2007 july fiasco & this forum had given me lot of knowledge & helped me out to make the right decission whenever I was underguided or misguided by lawyers (very unfortunate though that we spend a lot on fee to give such professional people). I will always try to do my best if my knowledge can help any person like me who falls as a pray in the hands of immigration people.
Anyways, if you don't mind, can you pls. explain the reason on what basis did they deny your I-140 application. You did mention on education basis, but can you pls. elaborate the reason. I am really tensed about it at my I-140 is pending since more then 2.5 years now. I also received an RFE on it & havn't heard about it since then.
Your input might help me. Thank you in advance

mhmm mine was sent on June 31 for July 2nd delivery to NSC and the receipt came from California in Sept. But my official receipt date was still July 2nd which is when NSC stamped in their mail room before they forwarded it on.
make sure that your forms do not reflect something similar. your RD is when they got it in their mailroom not when they sent recipt notice.
I am still waiting, last time I called them my case had yet to be assigned to someone....phhhhhhh
I have a filing date of July 2nd 2007. My RD? A fantastic Oct 21 2007. That's 3 and a half months, more than a quarter year away.
I filed at NSC, my case ended up in TSC.

Then you will get added to a national registry.
Alternately you can also register online if you not in a metropolitan area. We are having lot of drives right now in New York,New jersey,DC areas.

When did they say they have repealed AC21? Is this true?
Regarding (6) above, it is not 10K, more like 5K.
Only a part of AC21 is repealed; ppl can still move one year after their 140 is approved and 485 is pending.

HI,
I recently went for stamping in Canada and they did ask me recent paystubs.
I woudl work for the new company , have some paystubs and then go to neighboring country to get the stamping done. But if the current visa on passport is valid for some more time, I dont think its really needed to get visa from latest company. To my knowledge u can always use old stamp to travel, as long as you have the latest aproval petition and you carry with you,I may be wrong if somehting changed recently,

You have your main rectangle in layer 1.
You keep Layer 2 selected
Hold CTRL and click on layer one
This will select the area of your rectangle on layer 1
Your marquee however will be on layer 2. So nudge the marquee as it says, then fill it.
Keep Layer 2 selected still and then CTRL+Click on layer one to again select your original shape.
Delete the selected area in layer 2.
You keep Layer 2 selected

Thank you all for the advise. I used Photo shop to adjust required size and pixels. As I shrunk to less than 62.5kb, it won't 240 x 320.. became smaller. anyway, I could send it...

I am not very well informed legally, but sometime back we had a meeting with our company immigration lawyers and they said once filed, the catagories can't
be changed.

Spill over from FB should go to most retrogressed EB category regardless of the EB1,2,3,..
In this case, if any spill over from FB should go to EB3-I. I dont know whether spill over will happen from FB or NOT.

Folks,
Due to the priority data transfer issue my I-485 application was rejected in June'08 (submitted based on June'08 visa bulletin). Anyways.
As part of my application necessary medical exam tests were conducted. If I were to submit my application today based on the new visa bulletin do you think I need to take all medical exams again and re-submit? Won't the first set of medical exams have any validity?

Is there any relation between biometrics and the final green card approval time?
I have got annecdotal info from several friends. With one exception (because of a name check process that has taken over two years!) most people receive the green card around three months after the biometrics.
Is that the case?
