I am a july 2007 filler as well and my GC was approved last month though the processing date was few months behind. I know some other cases as well whose 485 was approved when the processing date was not current. So i would say that just stay positive and keep your fingers crossed. Happy days should be just around the corner.

I have a thought, right now the housing industry is slowing down, The new home sales have dropped signinficantly last month.
We all know that Indians and Chinese are very good savers and have significant amount of their salary saved. Normally Indians and Chinese do not commit to buy a home when their GC is in process. They wait for a GC to be approved and buy a house only after they get their GC.
SO CAN WE TAP INTO THE LOBBYISTS FROM THE HOUSING INDUSTRY??
My thesis is one of the MAIN reasons in the new homes slow down is that people are waiting either at labor stage in BEC or in stage 3 for priority date for GC to be approved to buy houses.
We are talking about well educated well paid immigrants who have a very good discipline of saving and will definitely become home owners if GC is approved faster.
SO CAN WE CONVINCE THE HOUSING INDUSTRY LOBBYISTS TO FUND OUR LOBBYING OR USE THEIR RESOURCES FOR OUR JUST CAUSES??

She said the same thing. I CAN work on EAD renewal receipt for 90 days and then get interim EAD card from local office after 90 days.

advantage I will have is I am guaranteed to stay till my 9th year H1 expires which still has 2+ yrs left, and at the same time take second job on EAD and travel on AP. If I choose to switch to EAD then if the 485 decision is against then I would have no option of staying here.

We had our FP done on July28th. Raised a SR on Aug-2, got a response on Aug-4th, that case is pending background checks, wait for 6 months before another followup.
I spoke to FBI customer service and they said they sent results on July 28th itself (I specifically asked if the results include background check also)
So as it stands, I have become a sucker this time also.:mad:
It takes about 1 to 2 weeks for the information from FBI to be tied to your case. So when your SR was raised, the inormation might not have been available yet.
So, if you do not get greened by end of this month, raise another SR request or take an Infopass.

Since this thread is open and dont want to wast resouce on new thread. I want to ask people those who had already filed 485/EAD/AP that did anyone has taken photos at Walgreens.
I am getting $7.99 for taking 2 photos at Walgreens($48 for 2person with 6 photos deal) in Milwaukee. Whereas in Kinko's I am getting deal of $13.50 for first 2 photo and rest 4 photos for $13.50 ($54 for 2 person with 6 photos deal) in Milwaukee city area.
Now question besides money I want to know which one is worth taking chance for taking a picture interms of quality.

I had a similar issue for my son (I attached the check and it appeared that they lost the check) and it can be re-submitted again as long as the receipt date stamped on the rejected application is before retrogression which must be the case for you. But you need to wait for the rejected App.

when someone is on H1 status, employer is bound to pay him/her unless they have explicitly terminated the employment by a termination letter/H1 cancellation/Change of status/resignation letter from the employee.

I dont know of any insurance companies that cover pre-existing conditions..the older one is more the more expensive insurance is and not to mention pre existing conditions and all toehr terms and conditions jargon........ so be very careful... and good luck with your situation...

Thanks for the link.. I looked up my case and the status shows as "CERTIFIED-EXPIRED". Any idea why it shows as "EXPIRED".. I applied for labor on Oct16, 2007, labor approved on Dec 3 07, I140 applied on April 8th( within 180 days ), I140 Approved on July 28. Just wondering if this is something i should be concerned about..

I think, if you don't have labor doc, you can go to FLCDataCenter.com (http://www.flcdatacenter.com/) and search for MS Access document for the year when you file for the labor. If you have the number from the LC doc, search for that number in the access file and you will find the details of your case.

Hi,
I have filed I-485 application myself for me & my wife on July 5th, 2007.
I have listed all the documents in the packet on the cover letter, but forgot to sign the at the bottom (both me & my wife) after 'Sincerely'.It has blank in place of my signature and name printed in the brackets.Will it be a problem?
What should I do now to correct this? Should I send the signed cover letter separately (explaining that I forgot to sign)? Your suggestion is highly appreciated.
