I got my DL in Colorado just after Sept 11.....and it was for 10 years...luckily. Yes, you are correct Colorado has been traditionally super conservative, but with people from different states moving in..that is changing, only a shade though.

Eb2 have never moved beyond may 2004.. so until it goes past that.. these movements are not really worth anything.. it has to overcome that resistance.. then maybe 2005 will be a reality

You can still get promoted while on H1B just don't give up hope. If you're not getting promoted even if you're performing well, then there's something fishy going on with your employer.

We me and my husband took infopass on 95th day of reciept date
(11/28/2007). The USCIS officer was not that friendly, but she promised to send an e-mail to main office. The very next day (11/29/2007)we had an update on website that EAD cards were ordered and we got it today. The date on the cards was 11/29/2007. It worked for us. It is really depends on the officer you speak with.
You are lucky , I did same thing on 11/8, no cards, no updates till now.

The USA will not issue a visa on this passport since it considers the child to be a US citizen. However, US policy in this regard does not matter if the child never travels to the US.

1. if your company pays for everything, why such reluctance to put up a few more dollars for your own cause? think of those that pay for everything themselves and still contribute.
2. each contribution to paypal costs, they take a chunk off it. making small 10 buck contribution is really not the intelligent way to go.
3. there used to be a 20/mnth recurring contribution. now it does no exist. what do you want? should we throw out the original 20 buck guys? of course they can continue doing it. i can't imagine why it would put you off? btw we did not really lose any money by going to a minimum of 50- you know why? those who were serious still contributed. others who were whining at that time (why is there not a 10/mnth option) were in many (though not all) cases not going to contribute anyway. this is just fyi.
4. what is 50 bucks a month? step back and think sometime. a family meal/movie? do you indulge yourself occasionally worth 50 bucks?
i think in many cases the answer is yes. the money we need for lobbying ie very large....it's hard to make it form 20 bucks at a time when barely 5% of the membership contributes.
you have the choice hereof donating 100 now and considering it as two 50 buck donations, so your next one will be delayed. there are various ways of looking at this.

As a temporary measure you could have them apply for visitor visas.
Both my parents got approved for 10 year visitor visas...it allows them to stay here 6 months at a time...they just need to go back every 5 and 1/2 months to ensure they don't overstay the 6 months. This way they can stay with you most of the year.
Ofcourse if they are too old this may not be feasible as flying 21+ hours is no joke

Change the language and target too. I am thinking to draft a letter to send Home Builder Assoc and Car companies that I am not able to buy Home and Car because I am not getting loan. I need a car and home as I am paying rent every month around 1500. I am willing to pay 25% down and have credit score more than 700. No any kind of violation. Paied off first car loan. I am experienced enough to find another job in such bad economy. The only thing that I dont have is GC for which I am waiting for last 8 years. If I get GC probably I will get good loan faster and cheaper. If you lobby for us for GC probably not only me many other immigrant will get loans.

I don't think the threads on IV should only be related to GC retrogression. Yes, retrogression is the primary objective of IV. But, there are other threads on IV that are related to non-retrogression issues and, are very informative like threads on 401K etc. Anything related to immigrants should be welcomed.
Yes, people in this forum are from all over the world. But, I don't think the intent of this thread was to offend them. I go through the threads that interest me. I am sure other members do the same.

I don't believe that this is for real but i am really impressed with the hacker.
He did one heck of the job and made people run on their heels and
